Virtual Consultation Group for New Therapists

A supportive consultation space for early-career therapists navigating clinical work, confidence, documentation, boundaries, and professional identity while building community.

Green plant representing growth, grounding, and support in clinical consultation.

Starting your clinical career can feel exciting, meaningful, and deeply overwhelming all at once. Many new therapists enter the field with strong training, compassion, and a desire to help, but still find themselves wondering:

“Am I doing this right?”
“What do I do when a client feels stuck?”
“How do I manage my own reactions in session?”
“How do I build confidence without pretending I have everything figured out?”

The New Therapist Virtual Consultation Group is a supportive, biweekly consultation space for early-career therapists who want to strengthen their clinical skills, build confidence, and feel less alone in the work.

This group is designed for therapists who are navigating the transition from classroom learning, internship, limited permit work, or early licensure into the real-world complexity of clinical practice. Together, we will explore case conceptualization, clinical decision-making, countertransference, documentation confidence, boundaries, ethical considerations, and professional identity development.

This is a space to ask questions, process challenging cases, receive thoughtful feedback, and grow in a supportive community of other new therapists.

Who This Group Is For

This consultation group may be a good fit for:

  • Graduate-level interns

  • Limited permit therapists

  • Pre-licensed clinicians

  • Recently licensed therapists

  • Early-career therapists seeking more clinical support

  • Therapists who want a thoughtful, culturally responsive consultation space

  • Clinicians who want support with confidence, case formulation, and professional identity

This group is especially helpful for therapists who want a space to discuss the parts of clinical work that are not always fully addressed in school, supervision, or agency settings.

Group members are invited to participate through case discussion, reflection, clinical questions, and shared learning. You do not need to have a “perfect” case presentation prepared. This group is meant to be practical, supportive, and collaborative.
